on friday afternoon, we hopped in the car (weber, too) and headed to rhode island. we stopped in newport and then continued along to block island. it was such a sweet surprise and i had no idea (which rarely happens).
we sat on the porch of our bed + breakfast while sipping prosecco, ate fried scallops and the best clam chowder along the marina. we hiked along sandy ocean grass to a lighthouse and beautiful overlook (and climbed up and into a clay pit). it was such a wonderful getaway and the best birthday weekend.
i feel so lucky and am so excited for the year ahead.
