stargazing

living in the city you get accustomed to the street lights. each evening in charente, after a long dinner and before closing the shutters, we'd head outside to set sight on the stars and giant moon. my dad, ever curious, could hardly wait to go outside. just thinking about it makes me smile. i love the way the moon sinks behind the weathervane and how the sky looks like a tapestry, all perfect and billowy.

Both the photos and words are beautiful. I can't say I've ever seen the moon over a weathervane...having a weathervane when I grow up is now officially a dream.

Did you grow up in France?

Is that a rooster on that weathervane? How perfect. Like a dream.
