on the shores of nantucket.
as late september sweeps in, summer is beginning to feel distant. funny how quickly things change, right? we go from wearing sandals and sand in between our toes to cheerfully wrapping ourselves in scarves and wools socks.
one of the reasons i love massachusetts is its access to the islands. nantucket is gorgeous, with its sweeping beaches and easygoing vibe. there can be plenty of tourists, but we love to escape to the little corners of this gorgeous island where it can feel homey and "away from it all". on that note, we're headed to martha's vineyard for a week in early october. i am so looking forward to curling up on the porch in oversized sweaters, long walks along the beach with my sisters, and biking through the tiny towns with rosy cheeks.

Sigh. I have always wanted to go to Nantucket. It's a dream of mine. These photos are exactly how I imagined it to be. Beautiful.
I have never been to Nantucket but several times to MV...great pics. I love that clutch I spy in pic #2 :)
My husband and I fell in love in Cambridge and took a trip to Nantucket with friends around the time we got engaged. I fell in love with the island as we pedaled all over it and explored nooks and crannies. There was something about the windblown roses twining around gray cottages that locked itself up in my heart forever.
Do you have a place on ack? I summer there and wonder if we've ever crossed paths!
This looks so peaceful. I MUST get back to the Boston area soon!
Great shots!I was very happy that I discovered this website. I needed to thank you for this excellent photography!!
