this weekend, i've been able to savor the sweet scent of wood burning ovens, walking across crispy leaves, breathing in the fresh october air, and taking a moment to just be before a hectic november schedule swoops me up and away.
i had the pleasure of having tea with the lovely (and ever so inspiring) anna and rachael this weekend. there is something so unique about spending time with like-minded bloggers. i am so grateful for this supportive community and the boost it provides when you're feeling in an inspirational rut.
quite often, i go back and forth on how open to be in this space. it is so refreshing to read blogs that you relate to, that inspire you, and that make you feel like you're sitting across said blogger, sharing coffee and secrets. at times, i think sharing more would be liberating, but as a very private person, it's a constant tug.
between a hectic job, schedule and not feeling 100% as of late, creativity and inspiration have certainly fallen by the wayside. speaking with these wonderful and encouraging ladies gave me such a happiness boost. they made me realize that there are so many ways to get creative and feel that connection. i am so thankful for afternoons like this - where friends from different worlds come together, where you share fears and aspirations, where you can relate.

I love posts like this; it often reminds me that bloggers are just real people too. Because so many times I find myself putting bloggers I look up to on a pedestal because...I just admire them so much. But you're a great lady if you blog every day or no days. I think you're lovely :)

I know what you mean about sharing more and sharing less. There are some blogs that I love to read for their ability to open their hearts and help me see things about myself through their writing. But I often feel too bare, too introspective and elusive when I try to do the same. The beauty of blogging, though, is that there's always tomorrow. Always another chance to try it again.
I love this space you've created and respect the details you choose not to share, but am also so supportive of those you decide you want to. I love your creativity and think it shines through in every post. Your thoughtfulness is always what's so inspiring to me.
I'm so glad for our afternoon together. I loved getting to spend more time with you and Rachael both, and I think it's opportunities like Saturday, when you really can share more with friends who are so thoughtful and inviting.
